    Post Dry socket pain

    Hi

I had my wisdom teeth removed last friday at the local hospital and they sedated me for my wisdom teeth extractions. It was great and I did not feel anything, for almost 9 months they were hurting and finally I am glad I had them removed.

Everything was OK until this morning and suddenly I am getting this throbbing pain from the one in the lower right. The lower left one does not seem to hurt at all but the one on the right is very painful.

I have done some searching on the net today and it looks like I probably have dry socket pain. I would like to know if I can be sedated for treatment of this dry socket pain? How is dry socket pain usually treated?

    Thank you for your question.

You need to see one of our dentist and for us to examine you, to see if you have dry socket or not. If you do have dry socket, it can be treated painlessly without sedation. I have not as yet had to sedate anyone for dry socket management as the treatment is quick, simple and painless.
