Hi
I have a wisdom tooth that needs to be removed, however I have a gag reflex that is very strong and whenever I have any work carried out at the back of my mouth it sets off my gag reflex. I have been told that I need to have my wisdom tooth removed under sedation as it can reduce my gag reflex and allow the dentist to remove the tooth. Do you treat patients who suffer from gag reflex under sedation? Do you think it will work to reduce my gag reflex so that this wisdom tooth could be removed? |

We do provide wisdom tooth extractions under sedation frequently and the use of sedation drugs helps to reduce gaging and make the surgical procedure much more pleasant for the patient. You can book a consultation by calling reception on 0208 547 9997.
