Hi
I get very anxious before routine dental treatment and start to get palpitations on occasions and been told by my dentist that I need to have sedation before having root canal treatment.
He says that because root canal treatment takes a while to do, he recommends that I have some sort of sedation to control my anxiety and that way I could have anxiety free dentistry without the palpitations and sweating.
My own dentist does not provide sedation and he has referred me to the hospital but they say that I will have to wait to get to the top of the waiting list before they can do the treatment for me under sedation. However the tooth is now hurting and I am worried that things could get a lot worst if I leave this tooth like this much longer.
I would like to know if I can have root canal treatment under IV sedation at Pearl and if so, how many visits does the root canal treatment require normally and could it possibly be done under sedation in one session.
