    Smile Broken tooth

I have recently had root canal treatment on my no.7 bottom molar. I was due to have it filled one week later but the root wasn't dead so medication was placed inside the tooth, a temporary filling made and I was prescribed
    antibiotics.

Two days later my tooth broke and I couldn't get rid of the taste of mouthwash from my mouth. Worried I phoned the dentist but he said it would be o.k. until my next appointment. The tooth has now broken in another place the filling is loose, I have some pain when bitting and the bitter taste is worse.

My dentist is now on holiday and I am not sure what to do especially since I have already paid over £400 for treatment. I would very much appreciate your advise as to whether this can wait for his return or not?

    Default Broken tooth

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

My suggestion o you would be to try to see a dentist asap as there may be a risk of you loosing your tooth altogether. It seems you have lost the seal on you tooth after initial stages of your root canal due to tooth fracturing and this has to be before any more of you reestablished r tooth is lost.
