    Unhappy Pain after apicectomy

    Hi

I had an apicectomy two weeks ago and since the procedure was carried out I have had pain from my tooth almost non stop. The dentist who did the apicectomy did say that procedure does not always work and I am worried that this apicectomy may have failed.

I would like to know what are my options now with regards to this tooth. Am I right to assume that if an apicectomy fails, the next step is to have the tooth removed? If the tooth is removed, what can I can have to replace the tooth?

If your apicectomy fails, you could try another apicectomy or another root canal treatment if necessary.

Otherwise you could remove the tooth and either place an implant or a bridge or a denture.
