Hi
I had toothache about five weeks ago and my dentist recommended root canal treatment to stop the pain. After the root canal filling was done, the pain from the tooth became a lot less.
However now with five weeks time passed since the procedure was done, I still have pain when I bite on that tooth, although its only for a few seconds but the pain is still there.
I would like to know why the tooth still hurts despite the fact that the nerve has been removed from it? Should it not have settled down by now? Is it possible that some nerve material is still in the tooth?
