Default my tooth is turning black

last december 2010, i was playing basketball and someone's head bumped into my mouth directly. as a result, my front right tooth was moved backwards. i panicked and went to the comfort room. i moved my tooth back to its normal position ang it hurts. now all that is left is my gums at the back bleeds... 2 months after, february 2011, i'm starting to see my tooth turning black from the top... right now, only 1/3 or 1/4 of my tooth is white.. what can i do to let it go white again ? i can't smile again widely like before... it can be seen already by all obviously.. please help.. i can't stand seeing my tooth like this.. thank you for your advice..

    THank you for your post.

Its sounds like that your tooth is lost vitality as a result of the trauma and when teeth lose vitality they can discolour and become very black. You must see a dentist immediately. The tooth will need root canal treatment followed by internal tooth whitening or a porcelain veneer to make it white once again.

    Default sir

sir. my last 3 questions are:
1.) won't my tooth be white again without undergoing root canal treatment?
2.) if i undergo root canal treatment, will my dead tooth be the same color with my other teeth(yellowish in color) perfectly?
3.) after undergoing root canal treatment, do i have to do it again and again when a time comes? i mean, will it be back to black at a certain time?for how long till this teeth start to blacken again?

If a tooth is dead, it should be root canal treated as soon as possible, otherwise it can become a source of infection and lead to problems such as an abscess. Once a tooth is root filled, it may discolour and in which case a veneer/crown may become necessary or otherwise internal tooth whitening could be tried.
