bad toothache

Hi

I have had really bad toothache for the past two days and it seems to be gradually getting worst. It all started when I had a ski accident last year. The tooth discoloured after a while but I left it as it was because it was not causing any pain.

Now the toothache is so severe and I think its getting worst. can you tell me if you are able to stop this bad toothache with a root canal filling?

Thank you for your post. We need to see you first to determine the exact cause of this bad toothache. If the cause of pain is dental pulp related, then carrying a root canal filling is a very fast way of stopping the toothache.

I have seen cases where Root canal treatment has stopped toothache immediately and I have seen cases where the pain has carried on for a couple of days after root canal treatment before stopping. Its difficult to predict exactly when the pain will stop but it usually stops soon after root canal treatment.
