Cool Root canal filling fell out

I had this root canal filling done in one of my molars 1 year ago and last evening I lost it when I was eating. It left a massive hole and very sharp edges so I cannot eat or talk.

If I cal my dentist I will get an appointment in a few weeks. What can I do in the meantime? A quick internet search advises temporary filling which you can buy and fill the hole, but I never heard of it and I don't know how I could do it. What do you recommend?

Arrow Root canal filling fell out

Our clinic is open 24/7, and like us other clinics in London are also open long hours, so why would you risk to do your filling yourself? You can easily find an emergency dentist who would do your temporary or permanent filling immediately.

We do not recommend DIY fillings as you may not be able to seal the margins properly and strongly enough, which may lead to further complications (like tooth fracture).

Default Root canal filling fell out

sorry about the comment, just a little nervous. My regular dentist is doing it, and she says its about like a filling, just takes a little longer. They did set up 4 appointments, 1-the root canal, 2-build up the tooth, 3 "prep for the crown", 4-the crown. 991, damn my insurance sucks. But being able to drink coffee again is worth it
