root canal failure

Hi

The NHS did a root canal on my front tooth about a year and a half ago and ever since then I have been unable to put pressure of on my tooth. It hurts occasionally even when I breathe air over that tooth and has left me in constant worry that it might turn into an abscess. My nhs dentist says that he cant do anything more and has referred me to a specilist who wants a £1000 to fix the root canal failure. Do you guys deal with root canal failure and if so, what are the costs involved? How many visits are needed to fix this problem?

We do re root canal treatment in cases where there is no fractured instrument within the canal and the canals are not sclerosed. If the canals are sclerosed or there is a fractured instrument inside, you will be referred to a root canal specialist.
