What foods should I avoid after root canal treatment?

I had root canal treatment yesterday and I am due to fly abroad on monday for a week holiday. My tooth has been fine and not hurting at all since it was root filled and thats a relief but I would like to know if there any food that I should avoid whilst I am on holiday. Are there any foods that can start the toothache again or damage my root canal filled tooth?

A root canal treated tooth becomes weaker after the treatment as the inside of the tooth is drilled to access the root canals. To reduce the risk of tooth fracture it is generally necessary to crown a root canal treated tooth. A crown seal is also very important and is necessary with most root canal treated teeth. For these reasons after successful root canal treatment a crown should be placed on the tooth as soon as is possible. Hard and very sticky foods can cause tooth fracture and should be avoided until the crown is placed. Foods high in sugars should be consumed in moderation to reduce further tooth decay.
