Unhappy What can I expect after apicectomy treatment?

I have been told that I need an apicectomy by a specialist and I am a bit worried about what to expect afterwards. The guys at the office seem to think that its going to be painful. I must tell you that I dont do pain very well.

Can you tell me what I should expect after the apicectomy. Do I need to take time off work to recover after the procedure?

Smile What can I expect after apicectomy treatment?

    Dear Sami

During the Apicectomy procedure the surgical site will be made numb to an extent that there will not be any pain involved.

After any oral surgical procedure there can be some pain, swelling, bleeding and risk of infection and so you will probably be prescribed mouthwash, pain killers and antibiotics to combat these. We would advise you to rest after such a surgical procedure.
