Do you use disposable root canal files?

I have been told by my dentist that I need a root canal filling but unfortunately its a difficult case and he has said that he will need to refer me to another dental practice for them to do the root canal treatment.

I have been doing a bit of reading about root canal fillings and have heard that root canal treatment files should be disposed after each patient and not cleaned and used again on other patients otherwise they could pass on infection to the next patient.

I would like to know if you only use your root canal files on one patient only or if you reuse them on more than one patient? Also How much would it cost to have my top premolar tooth root treated?

We only use our root canal files once as using them more than once, increases the risk of file fracture due to fatique as well as the possibility that certain things such as CJD may survive autoclave cleaning.
