Will dental insurance cover Invisalign?

Hi

I have had dental insurance over the past three years and only every claimed for checkups and fillings. My front teeth are overlapping each other and I would love to have Invisalign to straighten my teeth and make them sit straight next to each other so that they could look better than now. My dentist says that Invisalign could do the treatment but it will cost £4000. Do you think the dental insurance company will cover my invisalign treatment if not fully at least in part?

I am not aware of any insurance companies that cover Invisalign treatment because they probably class it as cosmetic treatment and not a functional problem, although in some cases there may actually be a functional problem involved. However the best thing to do is to call your dental insurance provider and ask them this question directly.
