I have been told that I am not suitable for Invisalign

Hi

I had a consultation last week at a local dentist and he told me that my teeth are not suitable for Invisalign and I would need Jaw surgery to realign my jaws and then have metal braces to align my teeth.

The thought of Jaw surgery scares me and I would do anything to avoid that. Do you think that there is a way that I could still have Invisalign without having jaw surgery and metal braces even if the results are not perfect.

As long as the results are an improvement, I rather have Invisalign than jaw surgery and would be grateful for your advice.

Some cases require jaw surgery to correct the position of the jaws before alignment and straightening of the teeth is carried out. It seems this is the case for you to achieve the best results possible.

If you have completely ruled out jaw surgery, invisalign or fixed brace treatment will be a compromise. Traditional braces without surgery will probably give better results than invisalign. If you only want to have invisalign braces, we need to see you for an assessment to confirm you are suitable for invisalign.
