Do you charge extra for the Invisalign impressions?

Hi

I have crowded teeth at the front and middle of my top jaw and I would like to have Invisalign invisible braces to straighten my teeth.

I have been to several practices and have got a few quotes for my Invisalign treatment. One practice has a policy that they charge extra for the Invisalign impressions if more impression moulds become necessary down the line once the treatment starts.

Obviously not knowing how many more impressions will become necessary is an uncertainty that I would rather like not to have to worry about, especially because each invisalign impression is going to cost an additional £195 each.

I would like to know if you give one fixed price for the treatment at the begin or if you charge additionally for the impressions once the treatment begins.

Invisalign treatment starts following accurate impressions of the teeth which are sent to america. From these impressions the complete invisalign treatment is planned with the clincheck video. During the invisalign treatment if the aligners are not fitting very well, it may become necessary to restart the treatment and this is known as a mid course correction or MCC. Also 20-30% of cases need refinement following the final aligners. For refinement and MCC new impressions are requesting by invisalign.

At Pearl we do not charge you for these impressions and the invisalign quote provided is the total treatment cost. There are no extra charges for new impressions should it become necessary.

Replacement aligners can be charged and is at the dentist discretion.
