    Cool Shifted teeth midline

    Hi

I have a problem with the position of my front teeth in that the middle of my top front teeth does not lie in the middle of my face or the middle of my top lip and has instead shifted a bit to the right side of my face.

I saw a dentist who told me that I would need to wear braces and he said I could have veneers but he did say that with veneers he would need to shave a lot off my teeth. I would like to know if there is anything that can be done with Invisalign to correct my shifted teeth midline?

Would the treatment be complex? How long will it take if Invisalign can correct my midline position. Would I need to have any teeth removed to create space on the other side?

    Smile Shifted teeth midline

    Hello Neal,

    Thank you for your post.

Invisalign can improve or correct shifted teeth but it is not the treatment of choice for correcting large midline shifts. We would need to see you for an assessment before we can confirm if you are suitable for invisalign.

Some treatments can be complex but we need to see you to assess the severity of your case. We offer free invisalign assessments at Pearl. The average invisalign case takes 1 year to complete but invisalign treatment times vary greatly and are determined by the invisalign clincheck video.

In some cases teeth are removed to create space for correcting crowding or midline shifts. Generally invisalign cases are non-extraction and the extraction cases are better treated with traditional braces.
