    Smile Underbite

    Hello there

I am looking to get Invisalign treatment. I had braces when I was a child, but my teeth have moved slightly since the advent of wisdom teeth etc. It will be for general straightening purposes, and correction of a slight underbite, which is actually more of a level bite. I am keen to avoid metal braces and other extreme measures, and would simply like Invisalign to achieve the best possible bite and straightness using that method.

I would like to make an appointment. Late evenings and weekends are best for me as I live in Brighton.

    Many thanks

    Dear Macey,

    Thank you for your post.

The reason your teeth have moved slightly is not due to the wisdom teeth growing necessary. There is no strong evidence for or against wisdom teeth causing crowding in adults. If you have not worn retainers after having braces as a child then the teeth are likely to partially or fully relapse.

Invisalign is not ideal for correcting underbites or level bites but it seems you are not keen on the idea of having fixed metal braces again. The invisalign video will show us and you approximately how your teeth would look after invisalign treatment.

At Pearl we can offer you late evening and weekend appointments for invisalign. We would need to see you for a consultation and then we can discuss your invisalign treatment in more detail.
