    Red face Missing teeth

    Hello

I have two missing teeth at the top and front of my jaw. These teeth never came through and apparently according to my dentist were genetically missing.

As a result of these missing teeth, I have gaps between my front teeth but they are not big enough to fit any false teeth in there. I have already seen an implant dentist and he confirmed that I would need to have wider gaps there before I could have dental implants.

Ideally, I would like to have the rest of my teeth moved to create space for dental implants to replace my missing teeth. Can Invisalign move the rest of my teeth and provide the gap spaces that the implant dentist needs?

    Question Missing teeth

    Dear Rajan,

    Thank you for your post.

Invisalign is not the treatment of choice for making space for the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants. We would need to see you for an assessment to determine if invisalign is suitable or not. Invisalign consultations are free at Pearl.

Sometimes invisalign can create enough space and in such cases patients are very pleased to hear this as invisalign has many benefits over metal braces. If you still need metal braces then modern dentistry has aesthetic braces which are more discreet than the traditional train tracks. Also lingual braces are available which are hidden on the back of teeth.

Following a consultation and assessment we can see if you can have invisalign. If invisalign is not the treatment of choice we can recommend an orthodontist for you to see.
