    Default Invisalign experience

Did you or someone you know start with regular braces, then switch to Invisalign (or vice versa)? I myself have never had to wear braces, but I'd like to learn more about anyone who has used both kinds in case I ever have a child who is interested.

    Hi colgate,

Thank you for your post. I myself have had braces as a teenager and know how fixed braces feel. Invisalign is the alternative to fixed braces and many people prefer invisalign as they are clear, removable and comfortable. Invisalign is nearly invisible, so hardly any one can tell you are straightening your teeth. They are also removable so you can eat and drink what you want. There is no metal or wires which may cause mouth abrasions during treatment. Not all cases can be successfully treated with invisalign however with advances in clear aligner technology or the past 10 years, many cases can.
