    Post Invisible braces

    Hello

I would like my overlapping front teeth fixed with invisible braces and have been looking to have the invisalign invisible braces. I would like to know how long does the invisible braces treatment take to fix my top front teeth?

Could you tell me how often I will need to see the dentist once my invisalign treatment starts? Are there any restrictions to what I can eat and drink? Are invisible braces removeable, would I be able to remove my braces when I am eating and drinking?

    Red face Invisible braces

    Dear Marta,

    Thank you for your post.

As with traditional braces, treatment times will vary depending on how much straightening the teeth will need.

Invisalign cases finish in approximately six to eighteen months. Align Technology, states that the typical Invisalign case is completed in less than a year.

The expected time frame for traditional braces is considered to be twelve to twenty four months.

Usually about once every 4-6 weeks you will need to see your invisalign dentist. This is the only way the dentist can be sure that the treatment is progressing as planned.

The removable nature of the aligners means you can eat and drink whatever you want while in treatment. Unlike undergoing traditional treatment with fixed braces, there is no need to restrict your consumption of any of your favorite foods and drinks.

One of the main differences between traditional braces and the Invisalign system is that conventional braces are fixed. Invisalign aligners, on the other hand, are removable and should be removed before eating and drinking.
