I cannot speak from a professional standpoint but if you have already paid for them I think it's going to be a waste of money because you are going to have to pay for Invisalign too, and it's not cheap. I had them too and they were terrible - painful and not attractive. I had them on for 4 years but it was definitely worth it in the end. If you have the money though, go for it.
Thank you for your post. For some tooth movements fixed braces are better than Invisalign such as extruding teeth or rotating very rotated teeth and bodily movments. For other tooth crown movements such as proclination and retroclination Invisalign is in my opinion just as good as fixed braces. We find that around 90% of patients that present to us asking for orthodontics, can be treated with Invisalign. If you absolutely hate your fixed braces and your dentist feels that Invisalign could work in your case, then you can switch to Invisalign.
