Unhappy I have gaps between my teeth now

    Hi

I have been having invisalign treatment for nearly a year as my teeth where quite overlapped but now I have these gaps between my teeth. I dont like it because food catches there and some of the gaps show when I smile. My invisalign dentist wants to give me retainers now but I want these gaps closed if possible. What can be done?

    Hi Alka

Depending on the position and size of these gaps it may well be possible to close them fully with Invisalign. This can be done with the refinement phase of Invisalign treatment. If it is not possible to close the gaps with Invisalign then the other options are traditional fixed braces, composite and porcelain veneers. You should discuss these options with your invisalign dentist before retainers are ordered.
