Question I get bleeding during flossing

    Hi

I have been getting food stuck between my lower middle teeth on both sides due to the stripping my dentist did yesterday. I often have to floss this area for a few minutes in front of the mirror to ensure I have got the food out after every meal. Since I have a number of meals a day my gums have started bleeding due to the vigorous flossing 3 or 4 times a day. I am starting to get annoyed, what can I do?

    Hello Zoja

You can use a toothpick or interdental brush instead of flossing. Alternatively instead of flossing use a daily fluoride mouthwash after every meal to see if this will remove food stuck between the teeth. These gaps which your invisalign provider has made will close as your treatment progresses so this problem will go by itself. How long this will take depends on your clincheck treatment plan. Speak to your invisalign doctor and im sure they can show you your clincheck. You may also need to see a hygienist for a cleaning session.
