Replacement invisalign aligners

Hello

I am currently on holiday and have lost my upper and lower invisalign aligner 6. I managed to e-mail my orthodontist to ask about a replacement and I was advised to just try and jump to the next aligner. He told me a replacement aligner would be £100! It seems expensive to me as this is the first aligner that I have ever lost. Can someone let me know whether they have had a similar problem and how much a replacement cost?

Since you have lost upper and lower aligner 6, start wearing aligner 7's if you have it with you. If you dont have aligner 7's to wear then you should start wearing aligner 5's again. At no point should you stop wearing aligners as the teeth have a very high chance of relapse. Losing aligners is common and we recommend you contact your invisalign clinic as soon as possible. Don't worry as most of the time you can jump to the next aligner without a problem. The next aligner will probably feel tighter than usual and may need to be worn for a bit longer than 2 weeks. Replacement aligners cost £70 + VAT each at Pearl Dental Clinic.
