    Unhappy Swollen Gums

    Hi

I started invisalign treatment last week and im on day 10 of my first set of trays I noticed yesterday that my gums are starting to swell. Has anyone had the same experience? Up until this point I have been pretty comfortable, now I have a swollen and slight throbbing feeling in my gums.

Before I started invisalign occasionally my gums used to become slightly red and swollen and I got bleeding when I brushed my teeth. Going to see my hygienist helped. Can you tell me what I should do please. Do I need to see my hygienist again or invisalign dentist?

    Thank you for your post.

Please see your Invisalign dentist and explain the bleeding problem from your gums to him. You may need further hygiene treatment if your gums are inflammed or plaque is present.
