    Question Aligner Chewies

Hi. I'm curious to know what are aligner chewies? How often do you change these and where can they be purchased?

    Hi

Aligner chewies are firm foam cylinders which help to seat aligners and make treatment proceed more smoothly and quickly. Generally with good care, 2 aligner chewies can last for the duration of one aligner which is 2 weeks. They can be cleaned with soap and water, or with appliance cleaning tablets or a diluted mouthwash.

You can get aligner chewies from your invisalign dentist and you can get new ones if needed at each aligner fitting appointment. Aligner chewies are only needed when the aligners are not seating correctly on the teeth. If this is the case then it is probably due to poor compliance.

Dr Ehsan, really useful information. I am glad that I also found out what aligner chewies are.
