    Default Retention and Aftercare

    Just a few questions...

I'm just about to finish my Invisalign treatment. I was told that once a patient enters the retention stage they are no longer eligible for refinements because this activates the closure of their case so if relapse occurred they'd be treated as a new patient, is this correct?

Also, moving to a new orthodontic clinic for retainers - is the new doctor responsible for any aftereffects such as the retainer causing some teeth to shift adversely? Does the cost of the retainer cover such eventualities?

Could you tell me the cost of Vivera retainers at your practice?

    Thanks in advance.

    Smile Retention and Aftercare

It is true that once the patient enters the retention stage and the treatment is completed and accepted as completed by the dentist/patient, if a patient wishes to have further refinements after that point, the case would be treated as a new case by Invisalign and carries the costs of a new case.

If you move to our clinic from another clinic, for retention purposes only, we do not accept any responsibility for any relapse as we have not treated your teeth in the first place and dont know how stable the treatment would be. Invisalign Vivera retainers cost £300 at Pearl dental clinic.
