Cool Can invisalign fix my jaw?

    Hi

I was involved in a sporting accident as a child and as a result I have a very retracted lower jaw which bothers me and I would like to have it moved more forward so that it can be more in the same region as my top jaw. My dentist says that I would need to have jaw surgery for the job but he does not do any Invisalign work. The thought of surgery really scares me and I wonder if you think Invisalign could bring my lower jaw forward. Even if Invisalign could bring my lower jaw forward a bit more, that would be great. Please advise.

Post Can invisalign fix my jaw

Invisalign is a clear aligner system which moves teeth into various positions. Invisalign has no effect on the position of either lower or the upper jaw. If you wish to protrude your lower jaw, you must look at seeing a maxillofacial surgeon regarding orthognathic surgery. He/She will also liaise with an orthodontist to carry out the treatment for you using fixed braces and surgery.
