Essix retainer

I completed Invisalign treatment about ten months ago and my dentist fitted Essix retainers for me at the end of my treatment, which he asked me to wear every night forever. I have been wearing my retainers as he asked, however I lost one of the retainers last week whilst I was on holiday and now only have my top essix retainer. I am worried that my teeth will move without a retainer and I have looked at getting a new retainer from my dentist but his receptionist is quoting £350 for a new retainer. I wonder if you could give me a quote for one essix retainer and please let me know how quickly it can be made.

Teeth will move without a retainer and if your retainers are lost or broken then you should inform your orthodontist or dentist straight away. Essix retainers are a clear plastic orthodontic retention appliance. One essix retainer costs £95 at Pearl. A mould is taken of the teeth and sent to the dental laboratory for making the plastic retainer. It normally takes 2 weeks to make it.
