Can Invisalign fix severely crooked teeth?

My teeth are severely crowded as a result of me not having any brace treatment when I was younger. Also when my wisdom teeth started to come through a few years ago, and now my teeth have became even more crowded. Now I would like to fix my teeth and looked into a system that could straighten my teeth in a discreet way. My dentist says that the Invisalign system could straighten my teeth but he says that I need to see a very experienced Invisalign dentist. Could you tell me if your dentists can tackle severely crooked teeth with Invisalign?
