Can an anterior open bite be corrected with Invisalign?

I suffer from having an anterior open bite which my dentist says needs jaw surgery as well as metal braces to correct. I would like to have this open bite treated because I find that I lisp when I speak and its increasingly a source of embarrassment to me as I have become older.

My dentist says that my jaws are not in the correct position and to fix my anterior open bite, I will need to first undergo jaw surgery and then have metal braces. As the thought of jaw surgery sounds just too scary to me, I was wondering if Invisalign could be used to stop my lisping?

An anterior open bite can be treated with Invisalign in some cases. However if you have a severe jaw size discrepancy, then Invisalign or fixed braces alone cant treat your malocclusion and in that situation you will need to have orthognathic surgery.
