Is there a good way to clean the Invisalign aligners?

Hello

I have just started Invisalign treatment to straighten my top front teeth about one week ago and I am finding it difficult to clean my Invisalign aligners.

I was told by my dentist that I cant use hot water on the Invisalign trays because the hot water might melt them and so I have avoided washing them with hot water.

However one of my aligners has become stained and I would like some advice on what to use to clean my Invisalign aligners. Do you recommend using toothpaste and brush or do you recommend any other cleaning methods for the Invisalign aligners to your patients.

The best way to clean your invisalign aligners is to use the Invisalign cleaning kit. The special cleaning crystals remove plaque from the invisalign aligners within about 15 minutes. This Keeps your aligners odor free, hygienic and clear.

As a secondary method, however, your aligners can also be cleaned by brushing them and rinsing them in lukewarm water.

It is important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to re-inserting your aligners to maintain proper oral hygiene.
