Is it normal for some teeth to feel loose during Invisalign treatment?

I have begun Invisalign treatment about four months ago and I am wearing my aligners in the way that my dentist has recommended. My only concern is that I have noticed that the some of my teeth feel a bit looser than before I began the treatment.

Is this normal? Otherwise the treatment is going very well and I have had no other problems with my teeth. Is this tooth movement likely to get better by itself or should I go back to see my own dentist regarding this problem?

Hello Joel,

Slight mobility is normal during invisalign treatment. As the teeth move through the bone they become temporarily loose and after completion of the treatment they will return to normal.

You do not need to see the invisalign dentist before your next scheduled appointment. Just mention this to the dentist and they will check that everything is fine.

Most of my invisalign patients have slightly looser teeth during their invisalign treatment and this is quite normal.
