Smile Can I go on to my next invisalign tray earlier than 2 weeks?

    Hi

I am currently undergoing Invisalign treatment and been given some invisalign trays by my dentist to use and change every 2 weeks. I have noticed that after one week, my teeth have moved and can fit into the next invisalign tray. Is this normal? Do I have to continue wearing the first tray for another week or can I move onto the next tray now? Will moving onto the next tray early cause any problems?

    Dear Nancy
Each aligner needs to be worn for about 290-300 hours. You can compromise the treatment and the health of your teeth if the aligners are worn any less.
Although the aligners may fit, they are not fully fitting as they should and would derail the rest of the treatment.
Moving teeth too fast with too much force can cause irreversible damage to the roots of your teeth.
