Cosmetic treatment for gum recession

Hi

Im 29 years old and suffering from receding gum lines on my front teeth. The necks of my teeth show and it looks unsightly. I'm worried that the gum recession will continue and get worse.

My dentist has said that there is nothing that can be done for the receding gum line, but he is not a cosmetic dentist and is mainly a family dentist.

Please inform me on what i can do to prevent this gum recession continuing and what cosmetic treatments can mask these areas.

To prevent gum recession, the cause will have to be identified. If its caused by gum disease, the gum disease will have to be treated. If its caused by excessively hard brushing, the patient will need to change their brushing techniques or use an electric tooth brush.

To reverse gum recession, you will need gum plastic surgery which is something best carried out by a periodontist.
