    Arrow My gum line has shifted, do I need a gum graft?

    Guday,

    Most of my gum line has shifted back therefore exposing my roots due to gum disease. how can u help correct that. im thinking of a gum graft, how lasting is it and how much will it cost.

    Gum recession could be caused by either overzelous brushing or gum disease and its important that the cause of recession is identified and treated first to prevent further recession.

    Gum grafts can be carried out to correct recession but they are unpredictable and should be done by a skilled periodontist to have a good chance of success.
