Where can I get periodontal surgery?

Hi

I have very bad gums which my dentist has been treating with deep cleaning for a few years now. Unfortunately due to past heavy smoking, my gums are in a terrible state now.

My dentist has now said that I will need to see a gum consultant in the hospital for periodontal surgery. However the hospital has a waiting list and I am worried that my gum condition will worsten whilst I am waiting for an appointment. My dentist says that he does not have the skills to do gum surgery himself.

I would like to know if you could recommend somebody who could Periodontal surgery urgently. Is it possible to have the gum surgery with normal anaesthetic numbing drugs or will I need to be sedated?

Periodontal surgery is something that in my opinion should be carried out by gum experts (Periodontists) as suboptimal treatment can lead to excessive gum recession, tooth sensitivity and bone loss.

For gum surgery, I would recommend Dr. Claudia Brown who is an experienced Periodontist but very gentle and her rates are also very affordable.
