Exclamation Maryland bridge keeps coming off

    Hi

I had a maryland bridge made about four years ago and the bridge was absolutely fine for the first 3.5 years but over the last 6 months, it has come off my tooth about three times.

Each time I go back to see my dentist, he reattaches it and charges me for reattaching it but usually around 2 months later, the maryland bridge comes off again.

At the time, I decided to have a maryland bridge because I liked the fact, it did not involve shaving down my other teeth but this is too much and now I would like a better alternative solution. What options do I have to replace my maryland bridge?

Default Maryland bridge keeps coming off

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

The alternative options you have are dentures, conventional bridges or the implant.

Dentures these days are not really a very acceptable alternative option and conventional bridges are not very conservative and involve too much of the adjacent teeth to the gap to be drilled off. This leave the implant as the best option that we recommend.
