Unhappy Can you repair my chipped crown?

    Hi

I have a front crown which is about 10 years old and was done because my tooth chipped and the dentist recommended a crown to cover the tooth.

On Friday whilst I was playing with my grandson, his head hit my crown accidentally and the corner of the crown chipped off and left a sharp edge on the crown.

I cant afford a new crown at the moment and wonder if its possible to repair the chip on this crown for now and that would give me time to save up for a new crown. Can crowns be repaired?

Default Can you repair my chipped crown?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

if it is a porcelain bonded crown and the porcelain has chipped off, chipped crown can be repaired but repair of these crowns is not long lasting and it can come off easily. Also repairing is not a cheap process and few of them you almost have paid the cost of a new crown.

What I suggest is that to come and visit us to see if by smoothening it the sharpness will go and the crown will be a in a reasonable shape aesthetically until the day it is replaced.
