Worn teeth

Hi sir/madam

My front lower teeth have worn down over the years and now they are just stumps of teeth with roots and look really unsightly. They have also gradually become more sensitive and now even hurting now and then.

I have heard that the treatment for worn teeth is crowns but I don't know how crowns can attach to such small roots with virtually no tooth left to actually attach anything to them.

Can you tell me what I can do to make my teeth look like they did when I was in my twenties. Is there any treatment for these teeth or have I got to accept eventual loss of these teeth and dentures?

Could you given me a rough estimate of cost and if its possible to spread the cost over 12-24 months?

Thank you for your question.

Your teeth can be treated but what kind of treatment is needed and how much it will cost can only be assessed after a clinical examination and investigation of your teeth.
As you bite very likely is already altered and your vertical dimension is reduced, first you need to have this reestablished and then stabilise the teeth by means of crowns. Again it is not possible to tell you the cost without assessment but you can spreads the cost and pay over long term of up to five years.
