    Lightbulb Acrylic teeth

    Hello

I had new dentures fitted two years ago and the dentures had acrylic teeth both on the top denture and the lower one. Since the dentures were fitted, the teeth have worn down and now there are some very small teeth on the denture.

I have read that its possible to have porcelain teeth on dentures and they are much less likely to wear down so quickly and even look better than acrylic teeth on a denture.

I would like to know if you do porcelain teeth on a denture and if there are any disadvantages to having dentures with porcelain teeth on them rather than the standard acrylic teeth.

How many visits would I need for a new denture and could I get a new dentures made and get my old dentures repaired to act as a spare denture?

    Default Acrylic teeth

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

yes you can have dentures with porcelain teeth. These teeth are not commonly used although they are stringer than acrylic teeth. This is because one they cost a lot more, second they can fracture and third is that they make more noise when chewing with them.
To make anew set of dentures and repair the old one usually takes about 4-5 visits.
