Periodontist

Hi there

I suffer from gum disease and my dentist has been trying to save my teeth over the last few years but recently he has mentioned that my gum disease is so severe that I should see a periodontist.

My dentist sent me to a periodontist locally and the gum expert told me that for a course of gum treatment, it would cost me almost £2000. Is that a reasonable fee for gum treatment? I know he is a gum expert but it seems a lot of money for gum treatment.

I would like to know if you have any periodontists that work in your clinic or you send patients to that could do the treatment for less, because I really cant afford £2000 right now but I don't wish to delay my treatment either. Please advise.

I cannot comment on whether what you have been quoted for a course of treatment is high or low as it depends on the treatment needed and clinical assessment. But what I can tell you is that we have a periodontist at Pearl Dental Clinic that would be happy to see and assess your case and I can also tell you that our fees are very reasonable and usually much less than other practices.
