    Talking Maryland bridge

    Hi

I have a maryland bridge which was made about six years ago and it was great for the first five years or so but over the last six months, it has managed to come off probably three or four times.

Every time that the bridge comes off, my dentist glues it back onto my tooth but I am now fed up of going back to the dentist just to have the maryland bridge stuck back onto my tooth?

Being a front tooth, I cant really not have it but I am now looking for a more permanent and longer lasting solution. Could you please tell me, other than continuing with the dental bridge that I currently have, what other options do I have for my front tooth?

    Smile Maryland bridge

    Hi

If a Maryland bridge keeps de-bonding, your options are to either have a new Maryland bridge constructed perhaps with a new design. These days we could also make Maryland bridges that have Zirconium wings which are white in colour rather than grey metallic old style Maryland bridges and so the new design Zirconium Maryland bridges look much more natural.

Otherwise, you could have a conventional bridge which have better retention but more tooth destructive or you could have an implant or a denture.
