    Default Keep my wisdom teeth?

Two wisdom teeth have been growing in for the last couple months. They grew in without any pain at all and I think it might be because I had a few adult teeth removed when I had metal braces as a teenager. Is it common for wisdom teeth to come in with no pain? Is there any reason I should have them removed anyway?

I think it is ok, to keep your wisdom teeth. The wisdom teeth might push your teeth around, if there are teeth next to them. My wisdom teeth came up, with no pain, and they have caused no problems. I think it all depends on the individual, though.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Sue Ann. So many people have said I need to get them taken out but if there is no pain and no movement, is it really that bad? I always thought they were removed only if they came in wrong or were painful but apparently people just have them taken out.

Wisdom teeth can come through without any pain. If a wisdom tooth is not causing any pathology such as tooth decay, gum problems, dental cyst,... then it should be left as it is especially when its asymptomatic because removing wisdom teeth can cause trauma and could have complications attached to it.

Thanks for the information. I did not know that removing wisdom teeth could come with any possible traumas or complications. What are some of the complications that might result? Is it common?
