    Unhappy Ashamed of my teeth

I used to drink fizzy drinks and eat lots of sweets, thats all stopped now but unfortunately my teeth are paying the price. I dont like dentists and when I have been I dont think I picked a very good one to see.

Ive lost most of my molars which are now crowns or bridges and just lost one of my front teeth due to crown post snapping in the root, Ive got an awful denture for it at the moment. I am not too keen on a bridge and having to have more teeth crowned, are there any other options apart from implants?. Also a lower bridge (molars) is loose and I am scared that that now cant be replaced so are there any other options. Obviously in the current financial climate I need the most cost effective soloution but dont want to end up with dentures

Its very confidence destroying. I am embarrased to go and see a dentist as my teeth are in such a poor state for someone who is only 38 - am I the only one in this situation.

    Wink Ashamed of my teeth

    Hi

Thank you for your post. Firstly I would say that you should not be ashamed of your teeth and you should see a dentist, because most dentists see all sorts of teeth these days and some of the mouth's that we see are in a very bad state even though the patients are young.

If teeth are lost, we can usually either leave a gap, replace them with a bridge, denture or implants. If broken down teeth are saveable, we can usually restore them with fillings or crowns.

I have not seen your teeth, so I could not tell you accurately what your options would be but I am sure that if you see an experienced dentist, they would be able to tell you exactly what needs to be done to make them aesthetically and functionally great again.
