I suffer from frequent tooth cavities and need new fillings almost every time I go to see my dentist. My dentist has recommended that I use high fluoride toothpaste which I have been using for the past three months and I wish I had started using it sooner. On the internet I read that its possible to have fluoride trays fitted at night that can help protect vulnerable teeth like mine against tooth decay. Do you think fluoride trays work and if so, how can I go about getting these trays for my teeth?

Fluoride therapy is useful for high caries risk patients. Fluoride helps to strengthen teeth and protect against tooth decay and tooth cavities. Fluoride trays do work and are recommended for patients with high caries risk. Fluoride trays can be made from a mould of the teeth and are similar to bleaching trays. They can be requested from your dentist. Fluoride toothpaste or gels can be applied in the trays for home treatment. At Pearl we would do an examination and make fluoride trays in less than 1 week.
