Exclamation Surface cracks on my tooth

    Hello

Last night whilst I was brushing my teeth, I noticed that there are two surface cracks on my front tooth. I had not seen these cracks on my tooth previously and not sure what I have eaten or done to have caused these cracks. I am worried that my front tooth may have become damaged as a result of these cracks. Could you tell me what treatment this front tooth needs and how urgently must the treatment be carried out.

    Many thanks

Talking Surface cracks on my tooth

    Thank you for your post.

Superficial surface cracks on a tooth are not necessarily a cause for concern. They need to be assessed by a dentist and if they are superficial and not associated with any decay, they can be monitored. The bite will need to be assessed as well to see if there are any high occlusal forces on that tooth.
