Gum surgery

Hi

I have receding gums caused by a few years of poor cleaning, stress and smoking which have resulted in my gums shrinking back and my teeth becoming very sensitive.

I have seen my own dentist and he recommends having gum surgery to reposition my gums further up my teeth and get rid of this gum recession with surgery.

I must say that I am not overly keen on the idea of gum surgery but if its the best solution for my teeth, I am happy to proceed and have the surgery done. My own dentist does not do gum surgery and says thats its a specialist treatment and I must see a specialist or a periodontist to have gum surgery.

I would like to know if you have an expert who can do gum surgery at your practice and what is the procedure for getting gum surgery done?

We do have an periodontist at our clinic and she (Dr. Claudia Brown) is very experienced in providing various types of gum surgery.

I would recommend tha you can book a gum assessment with her so that she can provide you with the best advice regarding gum treatment.
