Very nervouse about pain with needles!

I am seriously nervouse about pain from needles when having some injecions done into my face. I now someone who had it done and she said that it was so painful it made her cry!! What can I do to stop it being so painful?

I have some wrinkles around my lips that I would like to get rid of but I can’t face it if it is going to be very painful. Could I be sedated??

There’s really no need to get worked up about this, everyone has a different pain threshold and your friend may just be very susceptible to even the lowest level of discomfort; you might find that the pain is not a real problem for you. It probably isn’t necessary to listen to your friend if she found it so incredibly painful that it would put you off treatment, you won’t know yourself until you try.

Most patients find that there is very little pain with this kind of procedure because the needles are so tiny, so I don’t think it’s something to lose any sleep over – and if you change your mind at the last minute, you don’t have to go through with it, obviously. One thing that some clinics find useful is to provide numbing gel for the face to stop the pain from registering, but a lot of people experience the treatment without any type of numbing agent because it is not hugely invasive.

Sedation is whole unnecessary for this kind of procedure and if you don’t like needles then you wouldn’t be an ideal candidate for IV sedation anyway. If you are too nervous even to get the injections without being sedated, then you should probably consider other anti-aging products.
